Cary-Grove Choir

Choir can be taken as an elective.
If you love to swing and dance, consider being a part of the Cary-Grove Swing Choir tradition. The Cary-Grove Swing Choir is the top singing and dancing ensemble showcased at school performances, the Fall Follies, the holiday concert, and community events. The group takes one trip a year to perform at venues such as Branson, Missouri, and Walt Disney World.
Auditions for the Cary-Grove Swing Choir are held at the beginning of the school year and are open to any student currently enrolled in Choir.
Check here for information regarding upcoming auditions.

Worried about your GPA? Don't be!
All choir students may elect to take their choir class as "Pass/Fail." This means that your grade in choir will NOT count towards your overall GPA if you receive a D or higher; your grade will be entered as a "P". Any "F" grade will be marked as such and count towards your GPA, but this is an extremely rare occurrence.

Trojan Voices: A select group of 16 mixed voices and vocal percussion with extensive choral and music reading ability, singing mostly pop and jazz music; admittance by audition only. Auditions take place during the fourth quarter. Open to current choir members.

IMEA District 7 Honor Choir: Auditions open to members of A Cappella Singers; acceptance to regional festival choir by audition only, with the opportunity to be considered for the Illinois All-State Chorus. This is the highest honor possible for a high school musician. Auditions take place in early October. Strong music reading skills are recommended.
